Give Your Car Some TLC This February!

February is the month of love… So what about giving your car some tender loving care? As you know, every relationship takes work, even the one you have with your car. Never underestimate how far a little tender loving care toward your vehicle can go. Regular, routine maintenance can help improve your gasoline mileage, reduce pollution, and catch minor problems before they become big headaches. Always remember to:

  • Replace dirty filters, such as air, fuel, and PCV. A poorly running engine is less efficient and burns more gasoline.
  • Check your transmission and have your fluids changed. Of all the fluids inside your vehicle, transmission fluid is one of the most important. Routine checks and fluid changes at prescribed intervals can prevent very costly repairs down the line.
  • Check your tire pressure and treads, Keeping your tires properly inflated has many benefits. Your tires will wear evenly, which prolongs their life and can improve your vehicle’s fuel economy. When correctly inflated, your tires can perform at their best which means better handling, dependable traction and a more comfortable ride for you. Your tires will last a lot longer if you give them the proper care! They’re pricey and you’ll appreciate having an extra couple years to hold off on buying new ones.
